My Stout has the brass tag stamped T-65 at the corner of the VIN plate which means it was titled in 1965. With the early cruisers I've seen that date can be as much as two years after the year of manufacture. Anyhow, does anyone know of a resource for pinning down the build year? My number is RK41 11071.

RK41-11071 was manufactured in January 1965 or 6501 in Toyota shorthand. The RK41 Stout started at 10007 in 6410.
Toyota published 'frame charts' in fiche and paper. The latest paper copy I have is dated 1975. Carlyn Dinkler cdinkler@bellsouth.net

Hi Carlyn, that's great information, thanks. Were the frame charts separate publications? I don't think I've ever seen one. And, how far back to they go?

The paper frame charts that I have go from 6401 thru 7504, and are 54 pages, 27 pages F&B.
On the rear of the paper copy: TMP 263 REISSUED 05-75 (Part No. 00100-00263).
I believe that these were sent out to go in the front of the paper parts books (like 81123-74 that I use which are two thick books, pictures & text, with red covers) that were used at that time. Carlyn Dinkler cdinkler@bellsouth.net
