hello. I own a 1971 corona. I will check the info you are asking for tomorow. the engine should be a 8-r, 8-rc, or 18-rc. these 3 engines are the most common in the early 70's.

The 1970-1973 Coronas weigh around 2250-2450 lbs depending on the body style, transmission used if equipped with factory air conditioning.

You might try checking Stepho's Toyota Site. He has lots of Toyota production info sorted by Model. Just scroll down the main page & select Corona Production Data ~ then try & find your country by flag, year & specific model number.
ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/stepho/homepage.htm
I looked but coudn't determine anything since I didn't know the model number or country. The list is still incomplete, some models have the weight, others don't.

Okay, here's my last suggestion (I'm running out of them)!
Although it is not about Coronas, you could try the CLASSICROWN MSN Group (from Australia) - groups.msn.com/classicrown - maybe someone in their forum could advise you.
The other Australian connection (which can be found somewhere in the Classicrown site) is try contacting Alan Taylor of the Rising Sun Collectors Register of Australia - the RSCRA. "The RSCRA exists to help enthusiasts of the Toyota marque to restore and preserve their vehicles. They have a very extensive and constantly expanding literature and technical library. New, used and of course hard-to-get parts are available at affordable prices to financial members." RSCRA P.O.Box 84 Banyo, Queensland 4014, Australia - ph: 07 326 75708 - fax: 07 326 71550
You might also try the Toyota Enthusiasts Club of England. They have a new website & Forum and might be able to help. www.toyotaenthusiasts.com/
That's about it, if they can't help, I'm affraid I don't have any other suggestions.
