Anyone know...? I'd really like to put a V6 in my '67 stout, but going with a GM model just doesn't seem right, hahaha. So anyone know what I should look for at the junk-yards?
Thanks!

Anyone know...? So anyone know what I should look for at the junk-yards? Thanks! Justin, Toyota's first V6 was the 3VZE introduced in the 1988 model pickups and the 4Runner. Toyota used it up to early 1995. It's a computer controlled fuel injected engine so that would increase the complexity of a transplant into a Stout as compared to installing, say a 18RC carbureted 4 cyl from a '72-'74 Toyota pickup or a 20R carbureted 4 cyl from a '75-'80 Toyota pickup. Carbureted versions of the 22R engine were also offered in California Toyota pickups up to 1990 although most 1985-1990 22R's you'll see in the junkyards will be fuel injected 22RE's
