Hi all! Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Bill and I'm from the Quad Cities; Davenport, Iowa to be exact. My pride and joys are a 1978 FJ40 Land Cruiser with 60,000 original miles which I bought new and a 1982 Corolla SR5 Liftback with 42,000 miles that I also bought new. The Corolla has just recently received a fresh coat of paint as the finish had oxidized badly but this vehicle was never winter driven and is all original. I am looking forward to being part of this forum and all the information it has to offer. Have a great day.

Welcome billeebee. I think you will be happy with the quality of advise and helpfull tips you will receive from the other members. I am also am original owner of a Corolla lift back (1977). Driven almost daily with 260,000 plus miles on it and its has spent all of its winters out side here in Portland Oregon. Its showing its age but still in very good condition . We don't use salt on the roads here so that has helped a lot. Let me know if you need any advice in regards to regular parts as I have been in the parts business for over 35 years. D.W.11

Hi! Thanks for the welcome. I am in search of the window weatherstrip for the rear liftback window for the !982 Corolla SR5 Liftback. If anyone can provide information as to where I can obtain one, please let me know, otherwise the body shop is going to try a universal weatherstrip very soon. I check email daily so if possible send any info to lauriey847@aol.com. I will check for replies here but may not be back as often as my email. Thanks, Bill

The rear weatherstrip 68291-12050 has been sold. It was the only one that I had (a special order long ago).

Hi again to all! I have posted a question on the Corolla board regarding identifying a rear window weatherstrip which is supposed to be for a 1982 Corolla model. I have listed the approximate dimensions and am looking for some help in determining what model this actually fits so I can find someone who may be in need of it for a restoration project. If anyone feels they can provide any information regarding this item, please check the post on the Corolla body section. Thanks again to all!! Bill
