I need to repair the brakes on my '65. I think I have a slow leak and the truck pulls to the right when braking. When I bought the truck last month, the brake fluid level was low, but now that I've filled it - I'll watch it closely to see if it goes down. I read a posting by a Toyota dealership mechanic that the replacement parts were no longer available and the brakepads had to be relined in order to be reused. Are the pads really that rare?

I'm curious where you read that posting?
In regards to your brake question. First, you should be aware the Stout uses shoes and not pads. Secondly, yes they are getting very rare. Toyota still has a few in their National warehouse and the current re-order status is uncertain.
You can have yours resurfaced if you have a good shop near you.
Cabe Toyota has both - resurfaced and new brake shoes. Call 1-800-576-2223 or email them at parts@cabetoyota.com
You could also check with Carlyn Dinkler. He specializes in Coronas but has some Stout parts also. You can find his contact info in the Corona forum or in the Vendor forum.

I'll go back through my web history and see if I can post the link here. Scratch pad. Shoes. Got it. I ordered from both Cabe & Carlyn - thanks for the advice to stockpile
