Hey guys, just been introduced to your site from the owners club in Australia, where was advised that this is the place to be!!!! Especially regarding info.on old Toyotas and restoration etc.... I'm in real trouble here as my girlfriend Karen and I own a lovely Crown Coupe 1972..Have had it 6 months but cant drive it cos we need a DROP ARM (steering) and the one on the car is Knackered!! We cant get a part number for it, have tried EVERYWHERE for help in UK, but to no avail...... Can someone out there give us some advice, or lead us toward a possible part/solution in this matter...??!! Can this models drop arm be taken from any other model, or are they not generic?? Its such a waste cos its a lovely car, but without this part it won't pass the M.O.T and is unsafe to drive....We were sold it without it being known it was dangerous and i drove it 60 miles before it got checked out!! Any help/advice would be much appreciated..... Should i post this on the Crown section and wanted blogs too, or will this plea reach all those connected?? Im new, as you can tell....!!

Welcome to TORC mate....... I am Chobis over on the Aussie forum you mentioned. Good to see you over here. I am confident someone will be able to give advice.
If I were you I would probably post something in the Crown section just in case any of those owners only look in that section of this forum.
However.......... you gotta post up pics of this car of yours ;D

Welcome to the TORC forums! Hopefully someone here can help you, but in the meantime you might want to check these other sites and ask them also (if you haven't already done so). In the UK: TEC - Toyota Enthusiasts Club - website and forum OLC - Old Japanese Car - website and forum In the US: JNC - Japanese Nostalgic Car - website and forum In Australia: Classicrown - forum (the CC forum is in the process of moving so I am not sure if they are accepting new members at the moment) Between all these forums, I'm sure someone will be able to help you. Oh, and like Oz-Stout said, post up some pix of your car! ;D
