I had a small problem with my clutch master cylinder reservoir I have notice that the pedal is going to far down for me to engage into any gears, I have the rod adjusted where it needs to be. I also had both the master cylinder ( brakes ) and the clutch master cylinder rebuild by White Post in Virginia and they had bored it out and sleeved it they did a nice job. I installed them back in the car and bleed the system. The brakes are operating good, the clutch is my main issue. I when ahead and installed a new clutch slave cylinder and I am having problem to get fluid to the slave by using a pump to help this out. I would like to hear from anyone who may of had this problem in the past. I took the whole assembly back apart and I cannot figure out how the fluid is getting from the reservoir to the back side of the reservoir and to the line to the slave cylinder. The master / clutch system is similar to the Stout reservoir and early Land Cruisers. All of the seals are good. The main piston that operates the cylinder has 3 small holes I am assuming that this is where the fluid must be traveling to feed the rear .I would like to take care of this issue before the show on October 12 th.
Thanks Frenchy

Frenchy: When the clutch is in the released position, the piston should return (by a spring) to the rear position where a hole should line up to allow fluid to flow from the reservoir into the bore (as needed like in your case) ready for the next time the clutch piston is pressed. Check and make sure the spring returns the piston to the rear position and that there is a hole (may not have been drilled out when re-sleeved) that allows new fluid to flow into the bore. Thanks Carlyn
The only thing done to the main body was they re sleeved it and this area I do not see where there is a hole . And the piston has 4 small holes all around. I will be bench testing it tonight and see what happens.
Thanks Frenchy

Carlyn I found what was my problem. I had the clutch pedal rod to far into the cylinder and not retracting back flush as it should of been there for no fluid was able to find its way to the rear because of the small hole were not exposed into the fluid. Thanks for the help.
