I'm one of those people who are hoping to find a long lost vehicle. What I am looking for is a 1967 Toyota Stout which my father bought used I think in Boise Idaho probably in early 1970. He eventually sold it in late 1980 in Spokane WA. When he sold it, he had painted it from a light blue to a sort of torquoise blue. There is a member of your club named Art Nieves who appears to have a similar looking truck. The pictures are on your club's web-site under "featured" section. I see that he also has a red Toyota Stout. Anyway, I wanted to start my search and found your club's web-site. Any suggestions or help you can give me would be appreciated.

Hi carolgene, and welcome to TORC! Sounds like you have quite a search on your hands. I think the best place to start would be to see if your father kept any records of who he sold the Stout to - if you can find a name, maybe there will be a phone number too. I'm not sure if you can track that info down through the DMV, but maybe some other members might have a better idea. Sorry I can't be of more help, but I wish you all the best of luck in your search! BTW - Art's Stout was originally restorered by another TORC member, and since then the truck was sold and has gone missing. Mike B from Cabe Toyota was the person who restored that truck back in the late 90's. Since then he's done another one for Cabe Toyota. Here is the link to the Feature you mentioned. It is actually not on the current website, but part of our archives... www.toyotaclub.org/featured67stout.html

Thanks for the help. Yes, I do have quite a search. I'm just getting started. I know how difficult it will be to find the truck, if it hasn't already been sent to a junk yard or parted out. Unfortunately my father passed away. My mom doesn't think she has any records on it. I'm going to have to hound her for tiny bit of information she might have.

Hi, I own a '65 Stout that spent the majority of it's life in Spokane. I just came across your post, sorry I didn't see it earlier. I use it on west side of the mountains for landscape work. It is running quite well and I don't visit this forum as often as I once did. I'm not completely convinced that it is a '65 I don't have much in the way of records. I drive it at least once a week. This spring it is time for a new muffler so I'm reading up on what parts I need to have on hand.
