Hey I've been cruising the local craigslist and came across a 1969 Toyota corona. I have never seen one of these before and was immediately interested in it. My main question is , how easily available are parts for these cars? also what kind of performance modifications ( if any) are there? Are there common engine/tranny/diff swaps for these cars? I'm located in San Jose Ca, are there any shops around my area?
thanks,
max

Max: I can not help with modifications, but if you need OEM type parts for your new RT43 or RT52, I might be able to help. My parts catalogs are $15 (about what they cost to copy & I pay the postage) or free with an order. Carlyn Dinkler cdinkler@bellsouth.net

Welcome to the Boards Max. I can't really answer your questions regarding performance mods for the Corona but I can say this...... Get It !!!! They are very cool cars. If you do modify it please don't modify it too much. These are rare now and it's nice to see them looking original. Having said that........... I see no reason why you couldn't make it nice and low with whitewall tyres and a venetian blind in the back window...... keep the hubcaps of course. Still, I guess if you buy it, then it will be yours to do with as you please. It seems you are no stranger to cool cars. You have a 2002 Beemer. I love those things.
