Every time I log into this forum I notice that there are guests online. Quite often when I get into the Stout section I notice that it is someone browsing the Stout pages. Now.......... I realise this could be members that have not bothered to log-in and are just having a quick look to see if there are any new posts.
But.......... I am also sure there are a few of you who have not signed up at all and own a Stout and keep an eye on this board. To these people I would urge you to sign up to the forum and actively participate on this board. There is no doubt in my mind that you all have something worthwhile to contribute and at the very least put up photo's of your truck for us all to admire. Doesn't need to be perfect. I just love seeing pics of other Stouts that are still alive and not rotting away in a junk yard or crushed to death.
Please think about it as this forum could be an invaluable tool for the Stout owner. It requires participation however.

It's a tough road, I have the same problem with the early cruisers. Maybe someone feels they don't have anything to contribute, but even a picture of another truck usually lets us learn something new. Just checking in here after a few months..........

Hello all! Just joined the forum. I bought a 65 Stout a few months back, and have plans for full restoration.
I've only ever owned Toyotas my whole life, so I guess that makes me a fan. I've had a 78 Corolla, a 70 Corona MkII wagon, 87 Camry wagon, 89 2wd pickup, 97 Rav4, and a 02 Rav4. My biggest regret is selling that Corona to Ecology auto wrecking for $50 after the engine died. That was a great car. Current driveway has the 89 truck w/ 309K miles, the 02 Rav4, and the Stout.
Currently my Stout is parked, but close to road safe. My plan is to replace a bunch of front end parts, rebuild the carb, repair the exhaust, and at least get it so it can go down the road safely. Sometime later next year I'll start the full tear down.
Dion - you and I should meetup sometime. I'd love to take a look at your Stouts.
I'll get some pix up shortly.

I surf this forum everyday and rarely do I see anyone post anything. I am very into my Toyopet and I know not everyone has parts for my application but I still read what was posted few months back just to keep up with the news.
Thanks Frenchy

Always glad to have another Stout owner join our ranks. Glad to see you are a long time Toyota owner & enthusiast! Please take the time to list your Stout on our Registry. And don't be afraid to post pix of your past Toyotas too if you have any! I surf this forum everyday and rarely do I see anyone post anything. I am very into my Toyopet and I know not everyone has parts for my application but I still read what was posted few months back just to keep up with the news. Thanks Frenchy Like Frenchy, I visit the Forum daily. Sometimes the Forum is quite active, but most of the time things are rather slow around here. I think one reason for the lack of activity is that for many of the Toyota models there are already existing and well established forums. All we can hope for is that the TORC Forum becomes a place for the 'odd' Toyota models, like the Stouts and early Toyopet Crowns, as well as the Corona owners. Of course our success all depends on the participation of the owners of these cars, so I encourage everyone to just get online and tell something about your car, or show us a picture or two. ~mike
