Hi Toyota Owners and Restoration Club. My name is Bryan Thompson. Susan Sanborn from the Toyota Museum in Torrance introduced me to this club, and I'm excited to join. I believe I have a restoration project you guys may be interested in. I'm a professional Car Designer for 2 decades now, and I'm beginning the restoration of the car that inspired me to become a car designer myself, the 1983 Tercel 4WD Wagon. This particular car was purchased new by my family, and then sold years later. I tracked it down and recovered it, abandoned in a ditch in Idaho about 15 years ago and towed it back to Southern California. It's been in storage ever since, but I finally have the resources to conduct a proper ground-up restoration. Hemmings took an interest in the car, and asked me to write this brief feature about it that I think you will enjoy here: blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2014/09/19/what-cars-inspired-automotive-designer-bryan-thompson/I am hoping your club may become a great resource for meeting fellow enthusiasts, and potentially finding hard to come by parts for this car. All my best, and I look forward to talking with you soon! Bryan PS: Here is a Facebook album I have created to begin documenting the process: www.facebook.com/TERCELBT/
