Posted elsewhere... I have another one ;D Oz_Stout - your Corolla looks clean - I like it! Those rear window shades/louvers seem to be popular in Australia. I see you have one in the Stout too. Are they custom?

Thanks Mike. I love this car. I had been after one for some time. Actually after I bought the Stout I started to look at the other early toyota range as I hadn't had much exposure to them. I decided I needed either an RT40 Corona, or a KE10/11 or KE20/25 Corolla. I wanted it to be nice and original so I could just lower it, whitewall tyre it, venetian blind it and cruise it. I figured my chances of finding a 10 or 11 were remote so I had decided to go down the KE20 path. Then, out of the blue I came across this little 11. I absolutely love it. Gets plenty of attention around the place too. These are quite hard to come across here now. It started off looking like the first two pics. Then a buddy painted it for me. It got a little closer to the ground and stock 12inch rims (which I still have along with hubcaps) were changed for a set of 14's. I have also got some MS55 Crown hubcaps to go on the current 14's as shown in a couple of pics, but I am saving that for when I get bored of the current look. The blind in the back window is an Aussie only thing. Yep my Stout also has one. Whitewall tyres and venetian blind in the back window are the first thing I do to any of my cars. The one in the Stout had to be custom made, but the Corolla one I was able to buy off eBay. They were originally used here in the 60's to keep the harsh Australian sun from ruining the top of the back seats of cars. Now I guess it is more of a fashion accessory than anything. ;D

Other stuff comes and goes. Got 6 cars at the moment, but I am looking at another old skool non-toyota purchase this weekend. If I buy it then my Stout will have to be sold. Can't keep everything apparently

Can't keep everything apparently Well, I sure hate to see you let the old Stout go, especially since you got it looking so fine, but if you do sell it I hope you'll point the new owner over our way! If you happen to buy another Japanese oldie, make sure to let us know, and then maybe we can meet up aover at Japanese Nostalgic Car! ;D
