I am trying to help Peter Rosario with the Corona RT5# series coupe roof rail weatherstripping that he is going to reproduce using a rubber supplier that I also work with for various Corona rubber parts. The rubber supplier needs at least one new roof rail weatherstrip to be able to accurately tell the shape of the extrusions used (I think there are three) and to accurately tell the hardness of the rubber originally used.
The following are the part numbers used, and the rubber supplier needs a new sample of (the best sample would be either a late version 62341-95501 right or a late version 62342-95001 left which replaced the early part numbers) one of the following part numbers:
62341-95500 weatherstrip, door opening upper right (used to 03/68) 62341-95501 weatherstrip, door opening upper right (used 03/68 to 01/71) 62342-95500 weatherstrip, door opening upper left (used to 03/68) 62342-95501 weatherstrip, door opening upper left (used 03/68 to 01/70)
I also want to eventually have the door weatherstrips reproduced and I need a new sample of one. This will be done after the roof rail is well along: 67861-95500 weatherstrip, front door right 67862-95500 weatherstrip, front door left
You would eventually receive a new pair of reproduction weatherstrips to replace your NOS sample and the thanks from each the RT5# coupe owners who needs to replace this weatherstrip, or I can pay you for the sample(s).

The rubber supplier is getting close to starting work on reproducing the Corona coupe RT5# roof rail weatherstrips. He still needs better samples, a new one would be best but a good used one would be good, to accurately tell the profile of each extrusion used to make the weatherstrip, and to tell the hardness of the rubber compound used to make each extrusion.
Details are in my original post, 09/10/2008, under Corona, Other.
Please help if you can. Carlyn Dinkler, cdinkler@bellsouth.net
