What do you use to remove the sticky goop left after removing vinyl die-cut stickers or decals from you vehicle glass?
I've used rubbing alcohol and lighter fluid in the past, but it's still a kind of messy proceedure. Is there something that works better? All recommendations & suggestions are welcome!

hi Mike have you tried WD40? i've used that stuff on stickers before and it worked. i guess it softens up the glue so you can just scrape it off cleanly with a blade.

Flat edge razor blade, laquer thinner or acetone to clean up the sticky goop.

When I was in Japan, I used to use a foam/moose like spray which was originally for removing window tint.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions!
I always have had luck with a straight edge razor & then using some chemicals to get the goo off. I guess that's always been the biggest hassle for me is removing the old adhesive. Some times it's dry and comes off easy, but most times it's sticky & gooey. So the real issue is getting the goo off.
WD40 huh? Then how do you get the WD40 off the glass? Just soap & water? Doesn't it leave a greasy film?
HAHA! I guess I was looking for an easy one-step cure-all. I guess it basically it comes down to using a little elbow grease, huh?

i always used windex after that. to get rid of any residual grease. and to clean the glass. the nice thing about wd40 is it wont harm your paint if it gets on it!

Hi guys,
There is a product called "Goof Off" which is designed for this . Buy it in the hardware store. It's great.
I am not a club member, but I made it to Long Beach last Saturday. Beautiful cars, good show. I have owned several old school Toyotas . I like Corollas and now have an 81 TE 72 liftback and am considering buying another. I really like the liftbacks (not the AE86"s though) and could use some advice. Is there any easy engine swap into a 79 Corolla liftback after pulling the 2TC? Is it worth doing?
Does anyone have a 78 or 79 liftback, that passes smog, that they want to sell relatively inexpensively? How about that beautiful white TE 72 shown on last year's Gallery?
