Hello,
I'm new to this forum, but have been a big fan of the Toyotafest in Long Beach since I arrived in LA a couple of years ago, and I own an all-original 40K mile 1976 Toyota Liftback Deluxe (unfortunately parked in Colorado). Anyway, I'm helping organize a vintage Japanese car cruise-in for The Japanese Garden in Van Nuys, CA on August 4th, 2019. Below is the call for cars application - please consider applying and attending! You can contact me directly or use the email address below to apply. Thank you!

We invite you to showcase your vintage Japanese car at one of the Nation's ten best Japanese Gardens. The Japanese Garden (SuihoEn) in Van Nuys, CA is happy to announce the first annual Japanese Classic “Car Gazing” cruise-in on August 4th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Garden is located at 6100 Woodley Avenue in Van Nuys.
Now taking applications to show your pre-1990 Japanese car at this beautiful site. We’re looking for a wide variety of original, restored and modified vehicles (all Japanese makes/models welcome) in show-ready condition. We will consider rat-rod and other types of intentional “patina” vehicles as well. Space is limited, so please email to apply.
Please include photos of your car from multiple angles, and provide a description. Application period closes Friday, July 26; we will send invites to chosen cars no later than Sunday, July 28. If invited to participate, drivers and one guest will get free admittance to the Garden. All other visitors will pay $5 for day admittance to the Garden (car show will be included in admission price).
Why a cruise-in at a garden? The Japanese Garden strives to offer unique programming that celebrates all aspects of Japanese culture from origami to automobiles. Come enjoy this unique opportunity to show your car at the wonderful SuihoEn Japanese Garden!
