Hello Toyota enthusiast brothers and sister,
I have a situation with the DMV that I hope can be resolved to save me a bunch of money. I acquired a 1986 Cressida Wagon MX72 that has only 68k miles on it. It was stored in a garage for 10 years and the non-op status unfortunately was not maintained and the DMV is trying to charge about $800 for a new registration and title. There is however a provision in the CA DMV for historic cars defined as being at least 25 years old and having sales of under 2500 units. I inquired with the Toyota Museum about their data for this but they do not have the numbers specifically for the MX72. Does anyone have the sales data for only the MX72 wagon in Ca or maybe the USA for 1986?
Thanks in advance.
David
