My 1991 totally stripped down basic model Toyota PU has 250,000 miles on its original engine and transmission and still runs very well. But, it needs signficant body work (driver door, front bumper, tailgate all damaged) and a new paint job, a new A/C, headliner, upholstery and carpet. The truck has sentimental value, so I am wondering what would be a reasonable cost of getting all of this work done and what the value of this '91 pickup would be when the work is done. Also, any recommendations of someone to work with in the San Diego area in getting the work done would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest doing the work yourself, it's all readily available stuff, esp in Cali. Here, everything goes to the crusher when 10 yrs old (MA). Cont driving w/3 - 7K oil changes. When the motor loosed power (70 psi per cyl) take it out, have it dissasembled (ur self?) machined & re install. I am not a mechanic (only a can-do guy, like puzzles) & have done all this (given time). Also I'm poor 8^0 There R better sites w/more help than here also… - -Not a Toyota Guy
