I posted this as an introductions threat also, so I apologize for the redundancy. I'm a newbie but my Toyota isn't. I bought a 1974 Hilux Longbed new and still drive it. Right now I'm in the middle of a brake job and I'm running into trouble finding parts. I scored a rebuilt master cylinder from back east and a couple of new rear driver and passenger side wheel cylinders from Toyota of Dallas. Where I'm having difficulty is with the front wheel cylinders, two on each side. So far I've had no luck locating either new replacements, rebuilt replacements or rebuild kits for the existing cylinders. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Alternatively, if no replacements or rebuild kits are available, does anyone know if it would be possible to convert to disc brakes in the front? What year discs would fit? I assume I'd need spindles that would accommodate the discs. Is this even possible? Thanks for any help.
