Hello T.O.R.C. members, I wish to share with you some photos of my 1977 Corona RT114 project, recently finished (or should I say "almost finished" as these projects never end). I found this car 3 years ago in excellent condition with only 171.000 Kms (106.000 miles) on it. I'm the second owner. First owner bought the car new, and after few years of use, stored it in a heated garage. Had no rust at all, still has the original upholstery and carpet. Since the car is a RT114L-KD (general market), even though bullet-proof, mechanicals weren't so amusing (18R, W40 4-speed, 13" wheels...), so the decision was taken to make it more spicy. Contacted JOEL LUZ at TOYSPORT who's incredible knowledge on all Toyota-related stuff made this project possible. He did for me a very nice 18RG engine, 45 DCOE Webers, W50 transmission, sport clutch, bigger front brakes, Supra rear axle with True Trac LSD 4.3 R&P, rear disc brakes, stabilizer bar and panhard rod, as well as many other small parts and tricks. Front axle received a complete overhaul, with new everything. Also new radiator, new brake cylinder. All mechanicals; If it was not changed, it was restored as new. Wheels were upgraded to 14”, keeping the period-correct looks of the steelies. Had a lot of fun during the process, which also involved a complete respray in its original # 336 paint code. HAVE FUN !! s1298.beta.photobucket.com/user/carcachagt/library/Andres Santiago - Chile
