hello everybody :) I just put my hands for the first time on an old car.. and what a feeling when driving it! I choose her (she was cheap) she choose me (she let me drive her home, about 200kms as is... I don't understand engines and bought it from a private).. and I think it's already love! So I'm both new to the forum and to restoring cars.. and since I don't cars very well I'll end soon bothering with questions. I do really appreciate old cars, so fascinating: beautiful body lines, colours and the driving experience.. well I think you all know already about;) Briefly: she's a Toyota Corona Wagon 1976, 18R engine. Is it what is called the RT118 model? I may think that the RT104 is just the sedan version... Sure I'd like to restore it. What worries me now (engine side) is finding a new timing belt to avoid a major damage (don't know when it was last changed). Of course there's some nasty rust as well, roof lining falling off and carpet need to be redone. The first silly question is:does Toyota still provide original parts for these old cars (I imagine that if this is the case it's gonna be pricey) or is there any manufacturer doing retro cars spare parts you can point me to? Attached some pics of this babe of mine :) Have a nice day all, Dan PS: I live in Western Australia, but originally from Italy... so I never seen these cars before and please excuse me for the dodgy engish Attachments:
