hey, just found a link to here on JNC while i was looking up some stout stuff and since you guys seem to have a bit of info i joined up. i'm Matt, from Mount Maunganui, New Zealand. been on NZ and a couple of Aussie forums for a while, mainly oldschool.co.nz, minitruckin.co.nz, downundertruckin.com, toyspeed.org.nz along with random visits to a few others. always been into oldschool toyotas, had an RA28 and a TA23 along with some more modern stuff (AE85, few fwd corona's and corolla's, 88 hilux, 90 hilux with 18RG swap, etc) so when i found a 76 stout i had to have it. was pretty standard in decent condition when i got it, drove it for a while to build up some funds and do some work on a few other projects and then got a little crazy with it. just a couple of pics for now, i'm at an internet cafe and haven't got many pics actually on the net yet. hope you guys don't get all emotional about modifying old toyota's.............................. at least i'm keeping it in the family as much as possible. as i got it: and current state, still a long way to go: plans include installing a 270 hp n/a beams 3sge (already got it, dyno proven), finish the bag job and get it all legal then cruise the hell out of it. cheers Matt

Hi Matt and welcome to the TORC forums. Hopefully some of the Stout guys will chime-in and say hello...
It's weird for us here in the states to hear about a 70's Stout, since we only got them for a few years in the 60's.
While I'm not into the modifying scene and prefer to see the old Toys be kept stock, it's still cool to see what people will do with their cars or trucks. Looking forward to seeing and reading more about your project.

Welcome.
Would love to see some more pics of your Stout, and look forward to following your progress. Not really into the low rider scene but still love a nicely done ride.
