Hi! Thanks for the comments guys! Salut M. Jean-Louis! Content de voir quelqu'un qui parle Francais dans le coin! Je vais voir ton projet, j'aurai des questions..assurement Toyotageek Im happy to see you like the car and I hope you will appreciate the future mods! Unfortunatly its winter here so my car is stored till May but during the waiting time Im collecting some parts to add here and there when summer back. To explain you a bit more about the project, the underside of the car is completly done. There is no bushing in the suspension setup except the sway bars. The gas tank, gas lines, brake lines, differential, bearings, bolts, we have work about 6 months in straitght to complete it...! Like you can see the engine is still original 87', and Im preparing a engine since now 2 years... can't wait to install it! I suppose it will be ready for summer 2010. During this time the car is really really fun to drive and always make me smiles The power is not there but the feelings in curves make me forget this fact!! I will also keep an eye on everyone's project.. Ive been really busy at work this week but now I should have more time to look at your vehicules! Thanks Hugo

Frenchy... Ive take a look at your website for about 2 hours now.. and I dont really know what to say LOL Your work is more than IMPRESSIVE. The Toyopet 58'.... I suppose you already know that you've done a perfect job on it but I still can't believe how it was "clean" at the beginning. The conditions of the igniton setup is impressive even if the car was stored inside, more specificly the plugs wires! ! Even on my 87' they will need to be replaced soon.... plus the original coil in working conditions ...unbelivable lol I dont want to start a non-toyota discution here but your 61' Fiat 600 worth a comment!! Again incredible, love this twin carb 1641! Nice, really nice vehicule, my father will like to see this one for sure, that was his first car back in the days! I always loved Fiat/Abarth cars... few years before we begin the Ae86 project I dreamed about a Fiat 126 72' with a 1100cc bike engine... I really want to finalise my current project before beginning another one but I still dreaming of it. My problem is that I love old vehicule in any kind of forms but I have a preference for racing cars or race oriented one's! Unfortunalty a part of the "spirit" of the original car's go away with added modifications and usage of aftermarket parts but Im playing with car's because of my passion for racing. My father Roger, which is my partner and...friend at a certain point, who help me with everything prefer pure OEM restoration.. and I think my Ae86 is the reflexion of theses two visions even if the car is a bit more race oriented except for the look. I dont want to repeat myself but again impressive work M. Jean-Louis! Ill keep your web site in my favorite to continue my visit and save some pictures. Oh I almost forgot, I suppose you guys now know that Im not really good in English.. But be sure that Ill try my best to become better! Thanks for sharing Hugo

I'm sure I'll like your car, no matter what your plans are. While I prefer cars kept OEM (like you father ), I can and do still appreciate a nicely modified car too. I especially like it when a car is modified to proper time-period accessories. Anyway, as long as you have fun with what you're doing, that's what is important! BTW - your English is fine! ;D Your link and posting here are fine. I'll post a reply on your original post...

This is a nice Hachi Roku you have ttoc. I have really started to appreciate these cars in the last 6 months and now I want one but they are just so pricey now. They look like so much fun though. Love your rim choice and front camber setup.
I want one!!! ;D

Hi! Thanks for the comments Yeah unfortunatly hachi are more and more pricey... The price for parts have also raise a bit throuth the years. I got the car in 02' for 2600$ Can which is a freaking deal compared to some models for sale now.... But you still can find really clean one for sometimes the fraction of the cost of a "JDM" one. If you are interrested I could post some pics of the build-up so you would have an idea of the underbody. This car is a really good base! Also let me know if you need any type of tech. info about Ae86, I could probably help you! New rims are on the way if I can find some! Im looking for SSR mk2 in 14x8 -12 but they are hard to get in this size.. As for the fun I dont know for you guys but I have alot with this little car! It is fun to drive for sure.. But this car is nothing compared to a 1965 Stout lol! really clean car

Awesome 86 I like em like this, minimal aero just old skool cool On sum dish rims, are they konig rewinds? I'll show my mate this tomorrow he'll go nuts ;D Id love an 86 but prices are so high here in the U.K. A standard UK spec Levin is worth more than highly modified JDM import as good condition one sold on ebay for 10,500 pounds about a month ago. That one was red.......a gold one can cost even more.
