I'm new to the vintage toyotas, mainly have done domestics. I recently found an old beat up 69 corona rt43. All the glass is broken out and the engine is toast. I was contempating on an engine swap(thought about installing a buick v6) but i keep seeing people mention 18rc or the 22r? Was wondering whose done what and which is easier as far as bolt in? What are the pitfalls to avoid? And since more power is the goal, what rear end to swap into my car and how to slow it down with disc brakes. I think these little coronas are really neat, and i just love mine! Anybody know of any part sources out here on the west cost ( I live in washington state) I'll need all the glass (prefer the blue tint, but beggars cant be chooser) Well thanks in advance for any help leading to the resurection of my little toyopet!!!

Without knowing anything about your local regulations, I recommend 4A-G(Z/T)E. Much lighter than R-series engines and easier to have tune-up parts.

nothing but the stock engine will bolt in. get a 71-73 mk2 rear end as it is 7.6" and will bolt on. I am old school but can modift things. this is what is under the hood of my rt52
