Congratulations on buying a Stout! The closest thing to a diecast or model of a Stout that I know of is this.... for lack of a better term..... paperweight: I bought it at the Toyota Museum during a trip to Japan.

Congratulations on buying a Stout! The closest thing to a diecast or model of a Stout that I know of is this.... for lack of a better term..... paperweight: I bought it at the Toyota Museum during a trip to Japan. OHMYGOD !!!!! I must have one of these. I MUST !!!!! I wonder if they would sell me one somehow. I'm going to be googling up a storm chasing one of these. Thanks heaps toyotageek. Is there anything on the bottom to distinguish it...... a model number or anything? Are these cars called Stout's in Japan? I really don't know anything about this car, but I must have that model. Thanks again bro....... oh.... I'm also a major diecast nut. Sadly I have not managed to just collect in one area of motoring, or one manufacturer. Pretty much like my real collection...... I collect anything that appeals to me.

No type of marking or part number at all on the car. There is a label on the box it came in, but that's in Japanese (except for this : RK-45, which I think is the Stout model number?) I was going to give you a link to Gazoo.com for the shop Grease... but for whatever reason they never work... they always get redirected back to the Gazoo home page Anyway, here is the Gazoo homepage... gazoo.com/shop/hobbygarage/new_item.asp Are you good with Japanese pages? click on one of the Grease Icons (at about center/middle of screen). Then do a search for Toyota (in Japanese or Hiragana, if you can - English won't get as many results) Then try looking at page 10 - there should be one listed there. Good Luck! Your best bet is go to Japan!! All I remember is, it wasn't cheap - price was over 3,000 Yen.

You really are a helpful chap. Thanks heaps. I tried the Grease pages through the Gazoo Homepage. Sadly my Japanese is non-existent, so I didn't get very far. I looked up the Japanese Toyota Museum which also wasn't very helpful although I did waste some time having a bit of a virtual tour which was quite interesting, but as far as gift shop goodies........ no luck.
3,000 Yen..... hmmmm....... that's just over AUD $30....... not cheap I guess, but again it's a case of there seems to be one model of a Stout. If you want it, ya gotta pay for it.
My Quest for a Stout model continues.
