Your blog is looking NICE! Keep up the good work! It should turn out to be a good repository of info for anyone collecting Toyota related diecast. ;D
If I might make a suggestion - to make viewing easier for everyone, try not to run all the photos side-by-side. When you do that, it means the pictures scroll off to the side of the page, making it a little awkward to view (the same thing happened to me when I started my blog). Try putting just 2 to 3 pictures side-by-side, then do a line break and put in your next row of pictures.
Anyway, I see there are some cars I don't have! Sometimes it gets tough trying to find everything out there. So many different brands and stuff. I'll be checking back regularly to see what's new!

Thanks for the advice I will try and do that to make things easier fo reveryone. I know what you mean about trying to find everything. It is so tough and that is one of the reasons why I am creating this BLOG so that I can know excatly what I have so I don't go out and buy the samething again. It does help that I have my dad who is a toyota parts manager which helps you out too. Have you seen the new FJ's that FJ owners are getting? My dad is going to try and get me a black or blue one.

Have you seen the new FJ's that FJ owners are getting? My dad is going to try and get me a black or blue one. Yes, we received one at our dealership last week. Of course it was addressed to the owner & sent as a sample. I was able to get the part number off of it, but (so far) it can not be ordered through the Toyota system (I figured out & tried all the different available colors - no luck!). These FJ's are made by AUTOart and are 1:18 scale. All FJ owners will be sent an announcement in the mail, letting them know they can order a car (for FREE!). They come numbered and in a special collectors box. Regular editions will probably be available in about a year. If your dad figures out how to order them, let me know!

Hi Koich!
First let me say - Nice Celica! And CONGRATULATIONS on the magazine coverage! It's too bad the American magazines don't give Toyotafest and our cars coverage like the Japanese magazines do. I picked up a copy of LIGHTNING during my trip to Japan last week and was blown away with the number of pages used!
Also a nice collection of Tomica Celicas, I think I've only got 3 or 4 in my entire collection. Do you have any pictures of that TTE Celica? I think I'll have to kick myself - cuz I think I may have seen it while at the Nostalgic Car Show in Tokyo! There was a guy selling Tomica that had a limited edition Celica Rally car. He spoke English and said he knew the driver. I'm not sure about the price, but I think it was about 3000 Yen. I passed up on it because of the price & I wanted to look around more. If you have friends in Japan that attend such events, you may want to have them keep an eye open for it.

Thanks Mike. You know, the funny thing is, I haven't seen the magazine myself yet! The publishers are cutting down on cost and sent the mags to us via sea mail.... Anyhow, my folks picked up a copy and will be visiting me in 2 weeks, so I should be able to view it then. As for the TTE Celica, I am kicking myself as well for not bookmarking that site. I think it was either a white Celica with red TTE logos or the other way around. I think it is pretty rare, because no one knows about it. Probably a really small production lot. I do have the TOSCO or TOMS race Celica as well. My folks should be bringing those over too. I do have friends in Japan who are into Classic Celica collectables, and I've already told them to keep an eye out. I'm also looking for a cigarette case Celica as well. I found one on Yahoo Auctions the other day, but it had a broken A pillar. At least I know they are out there. But I'm gonna stop my collection there. This stuff is endless!!! BTW you got a great site! Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the kind words about my site.
You should enjoy the Lightning articles - especially if you can read Japanese! I think there are over 20 pages covering various US owners and Toyotafest.
Let us know whenever you get the rest of your mini-Celicas from Japan. I'd like to see them also.
A very helpful site that I recently found is Ryo's Tomica Museum at www.geocities.jp/ryofukasawa/
Yeah, I have a number of the cigarette cars. The Celica usually seems to go for a high price on auction. I saw a number of various models while in Japan, so I know they are fairly easy to obtain there - if one is willing to pay a price.
And, yes, I agree - the stuff is endless! But I figure since I don't invest in fixing up a real car, I can spend my money and time on collectables! I just need to invest in some decent display cases one day! ;D

Thanks for that link! I could spend all day looking at that site & others. Unfortunately my lack of Japanese language skills is what takes me so long! Since we are pointing out sites, I find this one helpful since it has an English Menu version: hellototomica.com/index_e.html Just a few minutes looking at this site helped me figure out my Apita, Aeon & Ito Yokado Toyotas!

Ouch!
Sometimes the Tomica life sucks! Makes me wonder why I didn't discover them earlier.
Maybe because I don't live in Japan?
Be patient - all good things will come in time.

Was a little paitient, and was able to buy the box from another person at less than half the cost of what that one was going for. I'm going to yank what I want and sell off the rest!
