I am in need of 4 hub caps for my 1958 Toyopet Crown Custom. The are the same type as the one use on the Land Cruiser from 1958 until 1961. They are a chrome cap with the letter T in the middle. If any one has them please e mail me at frenchydvb@yahoo.com or my cell # ( 602 ) 723 1047
Thanks
Frenchy

I wish you the very best in your search. I know what it's like to despreately want a set of hubcaps and know that the chances of finding them are pretty slim. I have the same problem with my Stout

Frenchy, I'm guessing those hub cabs will be difficult to come by, especially here in the states. Have you tried any of the Land Cruiser forums? I'm not familiar with any of them, but I do know they exist. There is also a Crown Group on MSN Groups called Classicrown - groups.msn.com/classicrown - based from Australia, but has international membership. Most of the members are into the later Crowns though. Lastly you might want to try & contact Shige from Mooneyes. He is a big Crown enthusiast. In Japan they have this shop, just for Crowns - www.mooneyes.co.jp/crown-classics/

Thanks Mike
I did talk to my contact of mooneyes at the last all japanese car show and he told me that he was going and look but maybe very difficult. I have a hub cap junk yard aware on how they look and he is going to look and call me back next week. My 1958 Toyopet Crown is about done all I need is to start my new motor that I have build on my stand and break it in for a few hours and soon after install it in the car. I will keep searching for these caps.

Frenchy, are you selling your Toyopet? Someone pointed this out to me on eBay: tinyurl.com/2yyojq

Hi Mike
I did sell my Toyopet today on e bay to finish my 1958 Toyopet. A gentlman from Artesia Calif will be picking the car on Sunday. But I will have the 58 next year at the show. I am still looking for land cruiser hub caps.
Thanks Frenchy

Thanks for the update Frenchy.
Since the winning bidder is here in Southern California, maybe we'll see more than one Toyopet Crown at future Toyotafests!

Thanks Mike
The person who bought my 1963 Toyopet has a shop in Gardena on Artesia boulevard near the Toyota museum. He is aware of the Toyota show at the Queen Mary he has seen my car there last year. Also I have located more than a dozen of hub caps for my Toyopet. I will most likely restore a set and sell them on e bay. I am having a set of 5 been re chrome for my car.
