Here are the color and spec charts for the US-Spec Hilux from 1969-1978. If you see an error please post it here and I will correct the page and graphic ASAP. You can upload a photo of your car to the site by clicking on the above graphic, then clicking on the appropriate camera icon next to your color. I will make updates on the chart within a day of any errors or additions posted. To confirm or add your color to the chart just post a photo or description of your car along with the model year (or production date) and the color code. The three-character color code can be found on the production information affixed to the car. It is usually on a metal plate attached to the firewall near the back of the engine compartment.

So what I need from you Hilux owners is for you to post your year and color code. Once I have that I can add it to the chart and we can get this project under way!

A 69 Hilux on eBay is off-white, but no color code. Looks to be either Aphrodite White (T1346) or maybe Olympus White (T1453).

Great info! That is perfect, I added it to the chart. I thought the VIN plate said that the production date was March of 1979 at first, but I think the "8" is just wearing out, cause that definitely looks like a '78 to me.

Found a 1971 on eBay and the owner is fairly certain it is the original color. No color code, but it is a very pale green.

Just uploaded the 1971 brochure to the site... still looking for someone who has the 1972 brochure, which has a green cover and a yellow truck with a woman smiling from the passenger seat.

Looks like I had some errors and I was just corrected. The RN22 was sold from 1972.5-1974 and was even titled as a 1972. This means that a 1972-titled truck could be an older RN14 or a newer RN22.
1972.5-1973 models can be identified through their driver's side gas cap, while 1974-1978 models had a passenger side gas cap.
