Hey, new here..i'm jared A lil bit about myself. I'm in British Columbia, Canada, and i'm normally driving a FC3S, except now its garaged for the winter, and i'm driving my RT83L aka 1971 Corona. Basically I never chose to make this my project car, it got dumped on me.. My friend bought it and stored it in my garage while working on it, and he got bored and gave up, gave it to another friend, who got bored, and it was passed on to another guy. My friend decided he wanted to tow it to the wreckers so I said hell no. (yes, it was in MY garage the entire time). I love any japanese car, and anything oldschool, so I decided to take on the project and finish it how I wanted... Sorry for the 'bling' shot, just showing off some new wheels I got for it. Basically it is my daily driver now, and i'm going to rely on it to haul me up to the mountains when I go snowboarding.

Hey. Old thread but guess what, I just bought this car in Langley, B.C. I wonder how many times its been bought and sold since Jared had it.
I think this site will be really helpful cuz I have several questions.

Well its now 2011 and I think there have been at least 2-3 previous owners since Jared. I bought it as a "finishing up" project to be my daughters daily driver. This is what it looks like now. Things that are going in: New Webber 2bbl Carb with manual choke. (ImportAuto) Sound Deadener (b-quiet) Carpet Kit (ImportAuto) Rear window defroster grid (frost-fighter) New weatherseals all around (From Carlyn Dinkler) Trying to source a 3.42 or 3.58 diff. to get the highway gears back. and of course the racing stripe for 10 extra hp ???what do people do for headliners? ham Attachments:

Nice car. I like how you blacked out the posts. I drive a '69 Corona hardtop as my daily driver for 2 years now and really enjoy it. I've put 24k miles on it now. My only complaint is the lack of roof rail seals so I can cut the wind noise. I'll probably cut and paste my own from a different application. For a headliner, you pretty much need to make your own, or you can hire a good auto upholstery shop to make one for you.
I have a 3.42 diff and a 3.58 (for a 7.5" Toyota axle) if you are interested in them, but I am in Los Angeles so shipping would be painful.
