Hi there,
I'm a new member to this forum! My wife loves old cars so we bought a 66 4dr Toyota Corona. I'm currently in the mk2 MR2 scene but appreciate vintage Toyota's just as much.
Here is my project: The 3r engine was completely seized when we took it apart. My friend has a 3tc that he is willing to sell to me. I also have a w55 transmission that I'd like to put into the car along the 3tc. I know that brdracing sells an adapter to mate the w series tranny to the tc series engine.
Has anyone on here ever swapped in a 3tc? I've heard that the crossmember needs to be cut/modified, but I was also wondering if I could get another oil pan/ modified oil pan to clear the crossmember. I'd like as much info as I can get on this swap since I've looked all around the web to find fellow Corona owners that have done the swap to no avail.
Thank you very much!
Randy
