I bought my first new toyota pickup as a teenager in 1978. I have had 5 toyota trucks since and in a fit of nostalgia I bought a 1976 pickup in pristine condition with visions of taking my son on a cross country trip, old school style. I drove the truck a couple thousand miles re-upholstered the seats and had the carb rebuilt. Since re-installing the carb and maze of vacuum lines, the truck starts fine but after warm up quits and wo'nt start until it cools down. The problem is I can't find anyone to work on my truck and am looking for help. Any Suggestions?

when you mean wont start, will it crank when hot and just not fire up or you get nothing when you turn the key?

I had the carburetor re-built on my 1976 toyota pickup by National carburetor. After re-installation the engine starts and runs smoothly but as soon as the engine warms up it quits and won't start until it cools down. I can't seem to find any mechanics who are willing to work on this old style carburetor. I would like to keep everything original on the truck but there seems to be a lot of people who replace these carbs with webers. Please advise.
