I bought an 88 van wagon that had been sitting in a farm field for a year. Knowing It had not been run I wanted to do a few things before I started it up. One was empty the gas tank and rinse it out. I flushed it from the fill door to the drain plug with 5 gallons of water. Well that was not enough. The fuel pump sucked a bunch of crud in and jammed up anyway. Rusty gas tank. Well a new one cost $375 so I decided to try POR-15. It actually worked! For $75 I now have a gas tank to last a life time and never have to worry about rust again. They are not making any more tanks guys so lets fix the old ones.
