I have come to understand that all cars sold in the US in 1969 were mandated to have shoulder belts with the seat belts. My '69 RT52 Corona is missing them and I would like to put them back in. Does anyone have a picture they can post of how the original belts mounted, looked and worked? Thanks.

I just found this picture on Ebay from a '69 RT43. Looks like the metal insert is one piece and includes a loop for the shoulder belt as well as the lap belt. I suppose that adjustment is done from the top for the shoulder belt. Does anyone have a set of these belts they would like to part with? Thanks. Attachments:

I found the original belts today stashed with a bunch of other parts! The shoulder belt is actually a separate piece with a small pin on the end. The pin inserts into the lap belt clasp in a slot that is hidden underneath the belt loop. I didn't even realize the slot for the pin was there until I went looking for it. Now I can commute in my Toyota with the much safer shoulder belt installed. Cool
