About once a week I search craigslist nationwide (my own custom tool that I can't share). I see various Stouts for sale around the country, and if it is OK with the mods, I can post links here regularly. I have no connection with any of them, just think a Stout finder service might be helpful. Here are this weeks: Oct 25 - 67 toyota stout - $450 - (Benton City,WA) pic kpr.craigslist.org/cto/893533107.htmlNov 12 - 1967 Toyota Stout (first toyota pickup in US) - $2000 - (Shasta Lake, CA) pic redding.craigslist.org/cto/916832475.htmlNov 12 - 1965 Toyota p/u no motor set up for chevy S/B - $1400 - (Escondido,CA) pic sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/cto/916112768.html

That second one from Shasta Lake is a gem! All original and unrestored. I would get this.... clear coat it so it doesn't deteriorate and just cruise a piece of history. So much character as it is. You guys seem to have many more old Stouts left that we do.

I would ditch the hub caps though.

Two more Stouts on the market. This guy has two for sale listed last week: Dec 9 - 1965 Toyota Stouts 1900 - $500 - (Barton/Damascus) pic portland.craigslist.org/clc/cto/951943561.htmlAlso the guy in Washington has relisted: Nov 25 - 67 toyota stout - $450 - (Benton City) kpr.craigslist.org/cto/934606485.htmlI like how they always say 'ran when parked a few years ago'... P.S. For anyone I had talked to at JCCS about converting my Stout to an electric vehicle, plans have changed. I'm going keep the Stout gas engine, and instead convert my 89 truck to electric. I guess I came to my senses.

During my searches for parts I also came up with a yard that had a Stout in Arizona. They did not want to part it out, and wanted to sell it whole. They were asking $750.00 (might be different now). If anyone is interested, you can PM me and I can get you the info.

I found one in AZ like that last year and bought it and parted it out on site. The guy selling it was cool enough to let me spend all day in his yard, and haul the carcass to the wrecking yard for me later.

I don't know anyone that would be happy to have someone do that in their yard and then be responsible for hauling away what's left. Very nice of them.

That advert says: "The chassis and body was designed and built by international" Is that true? I was never aware of this little bit of Stout knowledge.

I thought I had read that in Wikpedia once upon a time, or some other online source but was not able to confirm it again.

I thought I had read that in Wikpedia once upon a time, or some other online source but was not able to confirm it again. I don't think it's likely that this is the case. Toyota may have borrowed the idea or styling, but I'm pretty sure that they would have built everything at their own plants in Japan. While Wiki is a conveniant source for information, I take everything there with a grain of salt - it's too easy for people to change info at any time, so in my opinion Wiki should never be taken as the final word. That said, here is the Japanese entry for the Stout.

Maybe some enterprising person with more time on their hands than I would buy one of these Stouts for sale and part it out. There's enough people looking for various items that the costs could be covered. I parted out a second Stout last year, and I'm wishing I had taken more stuff home. Sorry I can't help you with the seats.

I have a seat in my parts truck that is in REALLY bad condition. Mostly spring with a little cover still on then. The backx are in better condition than the seats. Let me know if you are interested. Dan

Hey La Mesa Stout, just wanted to thank you for keeping this thread going and posting up new Stouts for sale. I love looking at them, but would never be searching craigslist as I'm in Australia and it just makes me jealous. So..... great work and please keep it up.
